Welcome to Coffee Middle School Math Connection!

Course Assignments:

Daily Do Now Problems – Weekly Grade
VMath Computer Modules
Group/Individual Assignments

All work is to be completed and turned in on time. Deadlines will be given for packets and modules.


Rules:
1. Be on time and prepared.
2. NO gum, food, or drinks allowed.
3. Be respectful and polite.
4. Complete and turn in work on time.
5. NO cell phones or other electronic devices/games.

*All other Math Connection procedures, CMS and CCBOE policies apply and will be followed. No exceptions.

Consequences:
1st Offense Warning
2nd Offense Conference
3rd Offense PC
4th Offense Referral
*Severe disruptions = Referral

Classroom Procedures:

1. No running in the classroom or on the way to class.
2. Restroom: If you have time, use the restroom before class.
3. Sit in your assigned seat. Do not wander around the room unless to sharpen pencil or locate notebook. Start immediately on your daily Do Now problems. Do not wait until the bell rings.
4. Tardy: You will be counted tardy if you are not in the classroom when the bell rings, regardless if you were in restroom, water fountain, etc.
5. No physical or verbal harassment at any level will be tolerated.
6. Take care of school property. Do not litter, write graffiti, vandalize, break equipment or destroy school materials or property.
7. Computers will be used frequently in class. Students may NOT check email, play games, listen to music, etc. Students are to work on assigned website ONLY!
8. No roughhousing, play-fighting, or other physically rowdy behavior will be tolerated.
9. Throwing objects or other materials is prohibited.
10. Zero Tolerance Cheating Policy
11. The room must be quiet during testing out of respect for those people still finishing up their test.
12. No talking while at the computers. Sit at your assigned computer.
13. Notebooks can be kept in the grade-level tray on the rolling cart.
14. My teacher desk and cabinet are OFF LIMITS to all students at all times.
15. Hall Passes = 3 Per 9 Weeks
16. All students should remain quiet when the intercom is on. NO student is to touch, pick up, or use the inner office phone in the classroom.
17. Students & Parents should use IParent provided by the county for grade requests. Progress Reports will be given every 4 weeks.
18. Return to assigned seat approximately 5 minutes before the bell.
19. Clean up all trash and personal belongings.
20. Place folder and assignments in appropriate places.
21. Do NOT leave work on my desk.
22. You will walk on the RED line (as a class) to your next class when Ms. Gay dismisses the class.

At any point during the year, Ms. Gay can add or make changes to the rules and/or
procedures based upon student behavior and needs of the classroom or CMS.
